Step 3: Upload revisions
If you receive a revised bid from a subcontractor or vendor, you’ll need to archive the existing bid and upload the new version.
Open your package.
Archive the existing bid that was extracted.
Upload the revised bid as a new file.
FAQ
Can I upload a revised bid if I received a new revision from a subcontractor?
Not directly yet. For now, archive the existing extracted bid and upload the new version. This is temporary until revised bid uploads are supported.
Supported file formats
BidLevel supports:
PDF quotes
Excel quotes (full workbook extraction, including multi-sheet files)
Excel note
Excel uploads can be reviewed in Side-by-Side Review, but source mapping is not currently supported for Excel.
Step 4: Choose your breakdown
After your bids are uploaded, you’ll choose the breakdown BidLevel should use for extraction. Once you select a breakdown option, you’ll see a full list of items that you can edit before extracting prices.
You can also paste in your own BOQ, scope of works, budget template etc.
FAQ
Can I edit the breakdown once I’ve already created it?
Yes. You can edit the breakdown before extracting prices.
You can also edit the breakdown after you’ve extracted prices via the Edit button at the top of the breakdown. If you change the breakdown after extraction, you’ll need to re-extract using the updated breakdown.
When breakdown size matters
BidLevel works best on small to medium packages. For very large or complex breakdowns, accuracy can drop slightly due to data volume and item variety. This will continue to improve as the product matures.
FAQ
Why won’t BidLevel work for my huge breakdown?
BidLevel works best on small to medium packages. For very large or complex breakdowns, accuracy can drop slightly due to data volume and item variety.
